역사적 배경[]
1960년대에 북미권에서는 서프 락과
비틀즈로 대표되는 비트 뮤직 열풍이 불게 되면서
일반인들 사이에서도 밴드 음악을 할 정도였으며,
이렇게 결성된 밴드들의 음악이 히트를 치는 경우도 있었다고 한다.
- 개러지 락은 이런 시대적, 장르적 특성상
- ‘아마추어들이 (제대로 된 연습실 없이)
- (자기 집) 차고에서 하던 단순한 음악’이라는 인식이 박히게 되어
